The Screaming Candle Maya, mental ray, Photoshop October 2009
For a while I've been wanting to together a relatively simple render, so I could concentrate on pushing my characters and the art, rather than always focusing on technical improvements.
After watching 'Roger Rabbit' the other night for the first time in years I decided to do a piece that reflected that wacky cartoon look, in particular Rogers facial expressions.
The mouth of the candle was initially modeled off of a drawing of Roger.
